ABC board 'hit list'

Stephen Claypole, a British broadcasting executive and shortlisted candidate for Managing Director of the ABC, claims that individual ABC board members told him that there was a 'hit list' of ABC executives and presenters to be purged.
Presumably Mr Claypole has considerable credibility with the ABC Board and its headhunters. They shortlisted him for the position of Managing Director, and paid his airfare to Australia to attend a job interview.
Will the ABC's auditor now ask the Federal Police to investigate this serious allegation against members of the ABC board.
