The outrage of so-called family groups was enough to prompt politicians including Communications Minister Daryl Williams, Health Minister Tony Abbott and Children's Minister Larry Anthony to complain publicly about the Play School episode. The target was particularly attractive as it had three elements conservatives love to hate: the ABC, gays and political correctness.
